Patents and Varieties Gallery

This window-based gallery will showcase artists on an occasional, rotating basis. 

Currently on view: Nick Cassway – Skywatchers, Latex and Shade Shifter Pigment on Canvas, 2021 

My drawing process is based on an analog-to-digital-to-analog process in which 6 original drawings are initially made, then scanned. A seventh and final image is edited from parts of the original drawings and is then vectorized. I use a high-volume, low-pressure paint gun and computer-cut stencils to render the images. 

Skywatchers uses a non-periodic tiling design as the background.
