We will need to <strong>snap to anchor points<\/strong>, however, go to the VIEW menu > SNAP TO POINT to turn that on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"318\" height=\"108\" src=\"http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/CP01.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2495\" srcset=\"http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/CP01.jpg 318w, http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/CP01-300x102.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 318px) 100vw, 318px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>1.  Use the <strong>Polygon tool <\/strong>(typically associated with the Rectangle and Ellipse Tool) and make a <strong>3 sided shape with a 20pt radius<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"221\" height=\"196\" src=\"http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/CP02.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2496\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>2. With the Triangle selected double click the <strong>Rotate Tool<\/strong> and rotate it <strong>90 degrees<\/strong>. With the Triangle still selected, click <strong>the Reflect Tool <\/strong>(typically associated with the Rotate Tool) to activate it and hold the ALT (PC) or OPT (MAC) key down and <strong>click on the bottom right corner<\/strong> &#8211; your goal is to reflect the triangle along the vertical side. With the newly rotated shape still selected go to the OBJECT menu > TRANSFORM > <strong>TRANSFORM AGAIN<\/strong> (cmd\/ctrl + D)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"528\" height=\"616\" src=\"http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/CP07.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2502\" srcset=\"http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/CP07.jpg 528w, http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/CP07-257x300.jpg 257w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 528px) 100vw, 528px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>7. <strong>Recolor<\/strong> all three shapes and make the<strong> stroke color none<\/strong>. For this next step, it is best to <strong>turn off the bounding box <\/strong>to make it easier to select and place the shape based on their anchor points. Go to the VIEW menu HIDE BOUNDING BOX (about halfway down the list)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9. Stay in Outline View. Select the <strong>Rectangle Tool <\/strong>and draw a rectangle that snaps to the upper left and right-hand corners of the top diamond and the left and right-hand corners of the bottom diamond. <strong>Zoom into the corners<\/strong> to make sure everything is lined up correctly if it is not, use the White Arrow to adjust the Rectangle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/CP14.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2509\" width=\"402\" height=\"560\" srcset=\"http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/CP14.jpg 545w, http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/CP14-215x300.jpg 215w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 402px) 100vw, 402px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>14. <strong>Exit Outline View <\/strong>by going to the VIEW menu > GPU PREVIEW.
