Go to the VIEW menu &gt; SHOW GRID and VIEW menu &gt; SNAP TO GRID<br \/>\n2. Get to your <strong>default colors<\/strong> (white fill, black stroke) by typing D on the keyboard.<br \/>\n3. With the <strong>ellipse tool<\/strong>, draw a 1\/2&#8243; x 1\/2&#8243; circle (4 small grid squares, by 4 small grid squares.)<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1566\" src=\"http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/og01-300x294.jpg\" alt=\"og01\" width=\"300\" height=\"294\" srcset=\"http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/og01-300x294.jpg 300w, http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/og01.jpg 334w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><br \/>\n4. Select all six circles with the <strong>black arrow<\/strong> go the WINDOW menu &gt; PATHFINDER and select <strong>Divide<\/strong> from the bottom row of options.<strong><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1569\" src=\"http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/og04-300x240.jpg\" alt=\"og04\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/og04-300x240.jpg 300w, http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/og04.jpg 608w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/strong><br \/>\n7. With everything selected type D on your keyboard to change all divided up objects\u00a0into the <strong>default colors.<\/strong><br \/>\n8. Go to the OBJECT menu &gt; UNGROUP<br \/>\n9. <strong>Delete<\/strong> the<strong> top two circles<\/strong> and the <strong>bottom two circles<\/strong><br \/>\n10. Select the remaining shapes with the <strong>black arrow<\/strong> and <strong>unite<\/strong>\u00a0(first option on the top row) them via the <strong>pathfinder panel<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1570\" src=\"http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/og05-300x160.jpg\" alt=\"og05\" width=\"300\" height=\"160\" srcset=\"http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/og05-300x160.jpg 300w, http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/og05.jpg 618w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/strong><br \/>\n11. With the square still selected go to the OBJECT menu &gt; ARRANGE &gt; SEND TO BACK<br \/>\n17. Select only the ogee shapes and change the <strong>fill color to black<\/strong> (or some other color of your choice) and the <strong>stroke color to white<\/strong>, change the <strong>stroke weight<\/strong> to somewhere between 3 and 6 pts.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1576\" src=\"http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/og11-300x217.jpg\" alt=\"og11\" width=\"300\" height=\"217\" srcset=\"http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/og11-300x217.jpg 300w, http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/og11-768x555.jpg 768w, http:\/\/nickcassway.com\/designblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/og11.jpg 891w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><br \/>\n18.
